Company
Our award winning dance company participates in several local and national performance opportunities, including competitions and conventions. Our Company is made up of PDC students ranging in age from 8 to 18 and are selected through an annual audition process.
Powerhouse Dance Center Annual Recital
The PDC’s annual recital is held every June at the end of the regular season for students to showcase their growth throughout the year. It is held in the beautiful Rhynsburger Theater in the Fine Arts Building at the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. The recital takes place the third weekend of June as this allows students to focus on their school studies and recital dances, respectively. The PDC Company will also perform their repertoire from the competition and performance season.
Missouri State Fair
The Missouri State Fair takes place annually for ten days in mid-August. After a small entry fee, all performances are free to the public. The PDC Company performs a thirty-five minute indoor show.
Columbia Heritage Festival
The Columbia Heritage Festival is an annual, outdoor festival and craft show that is free and family-friendly. The festival lasts one weekend in mid-September, coordinated by Columbia Parks and Recreation. The PDC Company performs a thirty-five minute outdoor show.
